As Inform Records is always looking for fresh talent within the expansive universe of liquid drum & bass, we welcome the London-based SetJ to the label with his first-ever release consisting of two true liquid soothers.

With exactly five minutes of serenity, the first track, See The Light, brings us closer to the light with its dreamy chopped vocal samples layered with a mixture of intricately placed sounds fluttering on the background of the deep drums. This track has found a way to feel airy simultaneously and light while still offering the listener a taste of its dark atmosphere.

Moving on to Wonder, we are again introduced to a similar soothing yet gloomy melody. The delicate female vocals combined with the deep waves of sound bring the feeling of being in the bittersweet unknown, unsure of whether you actually want the answer to whatever is making your heart heavy. The track has endless small details weaved into the layers of the track, raising the levels of impactfulness and complexity it brings.

Entering the scene with such a powerful first release, we do not doubt that SetJ’s name is one to keep your eyes on, and we are excited to see what the future brings for him.
