Bristol-based producer Lilac announces herself to the scene with her first release courtesy of Inform Records. It is hard to believe that ‘Fade Away’ is the artist’s first output, with intricacies in production and vibes abound. Emotion and energy seep out from the introduction to the track and build to a crescendo with a potent bass line to shake any system. Classic breaks and vocal chops sit alongside the purring synth lines which make this track feel so warm and atmospheric, with all the elements talking to each other in perfect harmony.

The flip sees a remix of Lilac’s ‘Got it Bad’ by Southampton’s Dub Concept. Serious sub and crisp percussion light up this track, whilst the call and response piano and vocal parts add depth to the overall soundscape.
